Grp shot September Hornby

The girls definitely outnumbered the guys in this fun and quick to laugh group of Photographers on Hornby Island.

Bernie and Ruth trying to create serious portraits of each other …..didn’t work!

We explored some night photography techniques, creating ghosts, entities whatever the imagination could muster up, lot’s of fun!

Our resident “flatlander” Ruth who traveled from Manitoba to be with her friend and joins us on Hornby, a great personality and photographer!!

Eve in the woods!!

Karen, my partner in our teaching ventures has a bit of a hair issue while heading out to the Chrome Island Lighthouse

Great Bear Rainforest for 2014

The Great Bear Rainforest photo-tour is a go again this year! Mark your calendar dates, June 7th to the 12th of 2014.  This is a very beautiful and remote area of the Northern British Columbia Coast known as Fjordland, and for good reason, the granite cliffs that rise out of the sea sure make you seem infinitesimal, waterfalls draining off the top of these monsters cascade into mist before hitting the ocean far below,  a place where nature rules!   Last year we were visited with Wolves, Griz, and Whales, we had great weather for picnics on remote sandy beaches and a minus tide that rivaled the inter-tidal colors of Burnaby Narrows in Haida Gwaii.  All this centered around great fun in a supported and encouraging learning environment.   Last year’s tour sold out quickly with only ten spots available. For further information contact Ross or Miray by going to their website www.mothershipadventures.com or email  at info@mothershipadventures.com

“thank you for offering this great workshop Boomer, your gregarious nature, experience and teaching style made it a memorable and engaging experience”

“Boomer, you have been a true inspiration, your patience has been endless and your knowledge a joy to experience and learn from”

” thank you Boomer for another great workshop, you have refocused me once again”

The Crew! At the head of Mussel Inlet in big Griz country!

Nothing like being a kid again!

This young fellow actually got bored of watching us, he was a wonderful poser for 10 excited Photographers, a very rare encounter!!

Dinners were always fun, stories true and false abounding, Poor Pete who was all elbows in the Zodiak gets his comeupponce!

Steady, Steady, here come the Griz! Long lens are preferable here, those are BIG animals!

Our final night at anchor, a fitting fair well to this beautiful place called Fjordland.
